Welcome to the new Voice of San Diego. This quick tour will show you how to take advantage of some cool new offerings on the site.
Here are the narratives that we are following and that you can follow. These are more specific than sections (rather than "politics," you'll see something like "mayoral election"). And these will change periodically. You can choose to follow narratives.
You can read stories and the links folks post, but you can't do anything else without logging in. Do that here. If you had a user name and password for the old VOSD site, you can use it to the left. If you are new, use Facebook or another social network to log in, or create a new account with the sign-in button.
If you log in, you'll be able to follow specific narratives. Here's where you'll be notified if there is a new post in a narrative you're following, or whether someone has replied to one of your comments or posts. We'll also alert you to breaking news and upcoming events here.
This is The Plaza. Seen a story you think Voice of San Diego readers should check out? Put the link here. Have a comment that should stand on its own? Put it here. Capture some news on your camera? Put the photo here. Then vote on other submissions with the arrows. Submissions are ranked by how popular they become. Try it. But you have to log in!
The site is free to access and open to the public. But it's not free to produce. We keep it going based on the support of our members.
