Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 | Councilman Jim Madaffer may not have brought San Diego good government for the past six years, but he has given the city its new motto - "Let 'em sue us!" And just so we know that these are not just empty words, come November he will bring us the Grantville redevelopment lawsuit. The county is suing to try to block another one of Madaffer’s legally and financially dubious schemes.

Let’s hope that wiser heads prevail, and that the Grantville redevelopment debacle turns out better than the city’s current financial and political disaster.
