Voice on TV

Sorry for the slow posting this week. I know you just hang on my every word. It's been one of those mindblowingly busy weeks. The kind you emerge from just hoping you didn't miss something important in the frenzy.

If you couldn't get enough of us in print this week. Some of our television friends have been running with our stories lately.

Hit the play button on the right of this page to see a KPBS interview with Rich Toscano that aired Thursday.

Will Carless' piece earlier this week on San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne's many misstatements to a City Council committee has gotten a lot of buzz. If you haven't read it yet, you should. It was pretty solid. Here's the report our partners at NBC7 did. And KPBS will post its piece with Carless here.

Have a good weekend.

We really do enjoy your in-depth articles and honesty in reporting issues. Wish you had added comment sections to the two latest breaking stories on the Bajagua project. It is wonderful news that the officials from both sides of the border have gone to work addressing the sewage problem, with the help of the EPA. Would like to see some comments on the May 8th and 10th stories, and I am wondering how positions and opinions will change in light of the Federal Judge's ruling. Truth in journalism is so needed from our newspapers. Case in point, would it suprise you to know that the reporter for the San Marcos area was eliminated and there is no news in our local paper in regards to the three projects in their EIR stages here locally. The coverage was good, now we have none. Thanks again,

I noted what must be an intentional mistatement of the facts from Sanders office on a recent Message from Jerry Sanders, dated May 10. In the e-mail regarding Real Estate Assets department it states: "There was no accurate list of property owned by the City and no way of knowing the value of our real estate holdings." Now jump back to a Union Tribune article of Sept 17, 2006, by Brooke Williams, who writes "In a report D&W Consulting submitted to the City with the land audit, it called the real estate department's records "consistent and complete". This administration's reach to show how much the Mayor is doing borders on rediculous. We know there's problems but quit blowing them out of proportion to help you politically. It's shallow and does not serve the Mayor nor the Citizens of San Diego
