Scrolls Under Scrutiny

When we spoke with curator Risa Levitt Kohn last month about the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit that opens Friday at the San Diego Natural History Museum, our interview was linked and discussed by several scholarly blogs. Some critics claimed that the exhibit focuses on more mainstream theories without acknowledging the dissident views on the scrolls' origins and implications for modern-day Judaism and other faith traditions.
