F-Gate Continues

Published: Wednesday, April 23, 2008 3:11 PM PDT

The Steve Francis campaign is indeed sticking to the allegations posted today in the Blog of San Diego that Mayor Jerry Sanders dropped the f-bomb on Francis after a debate Sunday.

"They finished the debate, Steve stands up, the mayor stands up, other candidates stand up, and the mayor refuses to shake Steve's hand," said Francis campaign manager Charles Gallagher. "Then the mayor makes the f-bomb statement to Steve and walks off the stage. Steve comes off the stage. Steve was pretty surprised. Steve told me. I was pretty surprised."
