"Mr. Jack -- You see 20th century heroes...but I'm not sure what y'er lookin' at now: who are your 'you two' and who's 'Sister'? Perhaps it's the two last named Lewis, but they're not incestuous, they're married!"

"I love your cartoons but why did you leave out Barack Obama?"

"There was no particular motive behind my leaving Obama out of the cartoon. These examples were the ones that most quickly sprang to mind, and since the cartoon was already pretty long I wanted to move on to local figures rather than taking up a lot of space with national politicians who already receive plenty of attention. Obama is certainly just as deserving of a little poke...I'll try to work him in in the future."

"Mr and Mrs Lewis remind me of the existentialists I refered to in my first response because they each,in their own manner and unique crafts, create an ethos of personal repsponsibility (i.e.:using their own names)thats unquestionably outside our branded belief system. A COUPLE,if you will,of individuals creating the meaning of their lives through their individual contributions to sanity in these anarchies we call America's Finest City. As they are, I'm certain, privy to alot more of the poop and scoop that's unfit for discrete airing on these pages I'm in hopes that they'll eventually combine their arts into something for publication that's not indentured to their current inherent restraints. We live in hope and expectation."
