It might mess up the composition of your picture, but I would add a corporate fat cat picking the guy's pocket. When we look at the inflation of mortgages, commodoties like food and gas, and the balooning deficits (federal, state, and local), it's usually well-heeled insiders benefiting, while we all pay. It makes the imbalances even worse.

BertG -- the see-saw board is weakened just to the right of the fulcrum in this cartoon...Ahh, so much in life fails on the right side...Those bad ideas, the selfishness, and the personal excesses ruin what are otherwise innocent notions young children have. // The see-saw board is just like the scale of justice, and here, the damn scale broke because it was trying to weigh a lifestyle that is so totally unsustainable.
