Reynolds Suit Dismissed

Published: Monday, July 21, 2008 4:20 PM PDT

A wrongful termination suit filed against the city of San Diego by a former top aide to the mayor was dismissed by a judge today, mayoral spokesman Fred Sainz just told me.

Former Assistant Chief Operating Officer Rick Reynolds, in a suit filed in the middle of Mayor Jerry Sanders' reelection bid, claimed he was fired for registering concerns over the use of e-mail and a Sainz request for computer information.

The suit, you might remember, also spurred this running dust-up between the Mayor's Office and me over the release of internal e-mails.
