Anti-Booze Ban Campaign Kicks In
Published: Friday, August 29, 2008 10:51 AM PDT
It looks like the drive against the alcohol beach ban is kicking into full gear.
I was out having a soda pop last night at a beach-area establishment when a group of five or so young men dressed in Uncle Sam-like outfits began going table-to-table prosthletizing against Proposition D.
The proposition would make permanent and expand the City Council's temporary beach booze ban. The many Uncle Sams handed out cards directing people to www.NoOnPropD.org.
Then they ordered a pitcher of beer.
