Every day, when I'm out on assignment, I see people who I wish I had a reason to photograph. Sometimes its the light hitting their face that grabs me. Sometimes its the way they smile, or the way they frown. Sometimes they just look like very photogenic people.

So, at least once a week in the Photo of the Day feature, I'm going to be bringing you a portrait. This won't necessarily be someone we've otherwise written about in our pages. In fact, I'm hoping it won't be. I want to introduce them to you.

Today's image is of Mission Valley resident Corey Moody. I originally took Moody's picture as he drove past on El Cajon Boulevard. That caught his attention and he turned around to come and talk to me. When he stopped, I asked him if I could make a portrait of him for the Photo of the Day feature and he was quite obliging. He just bought his bike a few weeks ago and was more than happy to be photographed with it.
