Photo of the Day: Leaving Lindbergh

My photo of the day was shot with a telefoto lens from Kettner Boulevard looking towards the airport.

Yesterday, I asked readers for the first time to submit their photos of the day.

Carlos Chavez, who runs his own Photo of the Day blog, sent this image, taken, he says, "at the Torrey Pines Science Park early in the morning during a dense fog."

Clifford Swain sent along this image of his daughter Madison.

Here's the story:

I'm sending my picture of the day to share with whomever will enjoy a fun but creepy accident of a picture.  I was taking a picture of a spider that my daughter and i go feed every once and a while.  When the flash went off, i was startled by the face of my daughter right behind the spider. it was fairly dark outside, and i didnt see her slip in behind the web.  She loves that creepy thing.

Others chimed in too by sending pictures via Twitter. @stacymariesd shared this image from the border and @gdomdom sent images from La Jolla Cove.

Thanks everyone for sharing. Anyone else who would like to share their photo of the day can e-mail me at sam.hodgson@voiceofsandiego.org or send me a message on Twitter @samuelhodgson.

End of September/San Diego photos were perfect: spider webs everywhere, fog on cat feet, opalescent skies after sunset at the beach. Also, a single plane making it into Lindbergh.
