The city of Industry has approved selling bonds for infrastructure improvements that would support a proposed $800 million stadium complex that has been talked about as a possible home for the Chargers.

The $500 million bond measure, which includes non-stadium improvements, didn't face much opposition among the few voters in the city, which is almost entirely zoned for industrial use. The Los Angeles Times reports that the preliminary vote count was 60 to 1. But a lawsuit is expected to move forward if the city approves an environmental impact report Thursday.

The stadium complex is the brainchild of billionaire developer Ed Roski, who has talked to the Chargers about a possible move. However, the Chargers' special counsel said recently that the team isn't looking to relocate to Los Angeles.
