Local environmental groups have sued the county’s regional planning agency over its 40-year transportation plan.
The San Diego Association of Governments’ $200 billion plan spells out priorities for expanding freeways and building new trolley, bus and bicycle routes, and lays out how it will reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the next 25 years.
As I wrote earlier this week, environmental advocates filed suit against the plan, alleging among other claims that it was illegal because it didn’t adequately consider more environmentally friendly alternatives.
I joined NBC7 San Diego’s Catherine Garcia to talk about the plan and the lawsuit this week. Here’s the video:
