Every now and again on VOSD Radio, we do this thing called Half-Baked Ideas [1] (the concept for which I admittedly borrowed from Grantland [2] and applied to local civic affairs).
Here’s how it works: We float some nascent ideas for making San Diego a better place. However, we have some freedom. The ideas don’t have to be fully formed, have a financing plan or even frankly be realistic. We try to talk them through and see where we end up.
Jed Sundwall, CEO of a company called Measured Voice [3] and a friend of mine, joined me as guest host in the latest edition of VOSD Radio [4] to offer up his half-baked ideas and react to mine.
Among them: building a San Diego public market [5], totally rethinking freeway exits, finding streets in San Diego we can make one-ways, a marine-layer app, koalas in Kate Sessions park and the Goodnight Helmet. Listen here [4].
VOSD Radio also airs on Newsradio FM 95.7 and AM 600 KOGO on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. Subscribe to the podcast here [6].
