I take to the airwaves with our news partners NBC San Diego to
explain why and how the government builds affordable housing.
Spending an afternoon filming with our news partners NBC San Diego is always fun, especially when it involves taking in the stunning views from the University Club and the view from the bar at the Shakespeare’s Pub and Grille.
Those were just two of the four locations I visited with NBC to film this week’s edition of San Diego Explained, which tackles the ridiculously complicated issue of building affordable housing, and which aired last night.
The last few years have seen several large affordable housing projects pop up in downtown and elsewhere. These government-subsidized apartment projects are built to provide homes for people with low and moderate incomes. People like, for example, restaurant workers. Which is why we went to the pub.
