San Diego Explained: Following San Diego’s Water Flow

Last month California Gov. Jerry Brown sounded the alarm when he mandated strict regulations [1] on water usage across the state.

But it’s with good reason.

Across the county, enough water is being used to fill a third of Mount Everest, or enough to fill 300,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

So where does all the water go [2]?
